Developing this app was a lot of fun. But testing it: a whole-lotta more!

Treat your friends to a free Carlsberg with the Tournée Digitale mobile application. You can give your Carlsbergs your very own name: it becomes a Johansberg, a Monikasberg or a Thomasberg.
Then select your friends and send them your Carlsbergs together with an invitation to one of the many events or parties. 

Every Carlsberg you share online you can drink in real life.

This is how it works: you download the Tournée Digitale app on your smartphone, win a round of free Carlsbergs and share them with your mates at an event or a club.

Baby Connection gets couples to experience those magical months together, even when you're apart. Draw up a personal pregnancy diary by sharing everything that's happening in that big belly. Mum's into crazy eating habits? Don't worry, Dad gets advice on what to do about it. Both Mum's and Dad's experiences get synced automatically into one common timeline. For a special countdown feature, put your two iPhones next to each other - you'll get to see your timeline on one giant screen!

But that's not all - keep curious friends and family up-to-date by sharing whatever you want via Facebook or email. Extra info and advice about the progress of your pregnancy is provided by Nutricia on a weekly basis.

A unique route planner that allows not for the fastest, nor the shortest, but for the safest route: talk about a smart application. With the iPhone app from Ethias, the Belgian insurance company, you can be pretty sure you'll reach your destination the safest way possible.

Ethias' app calculates a route for you that takes into account all so-called 'black intersections' in Belgium. Both verbal and visual notifications warn you when approaching such a dangerous intersection. With an extra speed notification, you can adjust how fast you are driving, which could also be useful when passing a camera - all of them are indicated.

But that's not all - the Ethias Safest Route app gives you the chance to add black intersections to the official list as well. If several users report the same intersection as dangerous, not only will it be added to the list - the coordinates will also reach the government. Indeed, this is your chance to urge these guys to launch some serious safety action!

With the help of an extra practical feature, you'll easily find your way to an Ethias office. Navigate through a list by street and by city, or read all contact information right there on your app.

After last year's successful release of the very first I LOVE TECHNO mobile application, Appstrakt together with Cowboys & Indians and the organisation behind I LOVE TECHNO, decided to crank up their cooperation and create the ultimate mobile experience for this year's edition. No, it does not yet give you the ability to light-saber your way through the I LOVE TECHNO entrance queue, but it does have some other pretty cool features inside.

So what's new? For starters, it's cross-platform. This means that the application is available for over 1.400 devices, including iPhone, Android devices, Blackberry, NOKIA and all other devices which are JAVA enabled.

So what does it actually do? There is the I LOVE TECHNO Facebook page which is integrated into the app, giving users the ability to interact with news and updates. There are 4 different ways to view the line-up, including an easy to use schedule. It has detailed artist profile pages, an interactive map of Flanders Expo featuring different points of interest and links to partner profile pages including more information about their activities during the I LOVE TECHNO event.

And yes, APPSTRAKT heard your prayers! So on popular demand, favorite line-up synchronisation has been integrated as well! iPhone and Android users now have the ability to synchronise their favorite artists thanks to the use of Facebook Connect. This means you can now compose your favorite line-up on the website and sync it with your mobile device, or even the other way around. Isn't that awesome?

EPC Connect is a web application built for energy consultants all over Europe. It makes use of an email client like interface so everyone will get the grip of it in no time!

It's developed with PHP, Javascript, jQuery and with the use of AJAX it doesn't have any page loads. So it's super fast and works like a normal desktop application!

Oh, one more thing, we're also developing a kick ass mobile application that hooks onto the API. For people on the road this is a MUST HAVE!

It's all still in development but a béta will be released soon.

This project was a Facebook app written in PHP, HTML and jQuery. A contest where you could invite Facebook friends to join a 'bus'. Once the bus was filled, users could ask questions to a famous Belgian person. This person would answer those question in the form of a movie. The question/movie part was written in Flash.

Belgacom Skynet is present at a lot of festivals and this year they wanted to do something special for you visitors and festival lovers out there. They took some big-ass cameras and shot a lot of giga-pixel images of wild festival crowds.

We at Appstrakt then took these giga-pixel images and created a great zooming and panning experience around them: the Skynet Generation Festival Sniper. From the biggest mosh pit up to the guy with the crazy hat: everything’s discoverable and in great quality too!

We basically render and serve the original image at different resolutions and each of those versions (essentially the zoom-levels) is cut up in many pieces. The software will then ‘stitch’ the different parts together to give the user a seamless zooming experience.

Users can tag themselves, their friends or some other crazy scene and share these tags on their favorite social networks. The Festival Sniper is also completely deep-linked, so every tag has its own unique URL.

You can try it for yourself; there are more than 50 festival photos available!
