I Love Techno 2010 mobile application

Work

After last year's successful release of the very first I LOVE TECHNO mobile application, Appstrakt together with Cowboys & Indians and the organisation behind I LOVE TECHNO, decided to crank up their cooperation and create the ultimate mobile experience for this year's edition. No, it does not yet give you the ability to light-saber your way through the I LOVE TECHNO entrance queue, but it does have some other pretty cool features inside.

So what's new? For starters, it's cross-platform. This means that the application is available for over 1.400 devices, including iPhone, Android devices, Blackberry, NOKIA and all other devices which are JAVA enabled.

So what does it actually do? There is the I LOVE TECHNO Facebook page which is integrated into the app, giving users the ability to interact with news and updates. There are 4 different ways to view the line-up, including an easy to use schedule. It has detailed artist profile pages, an interactive map of Flanders Expo featuring different points of interest and links to partner profile pages including more information about their activities during the I LOVE TECHNO event.

And yes, APPSTRAKT heard your prayers! So on popular demand, favorite line-up synchronisation has been integrated as well! iPhone and Android users now have the ability to synchronise their favorite artists thanks to the use of Facebook Connect. This means you can now compose your favorite line-up on the website and sync it with your mobile device, or even the other way around. Isn't that awesome?

So what are your waiting for? Go check it out yourself!

RW2010, our first cross-platform mobile application

Mobile

The mobile device market has changed dramatically over the past 2 years thanks to the efforts of innovators like Apple and other mobile device companies. The devices get smarter every day and mobile applications are becoming more and more important in our daily routine. We use them to communicate, we use them for work, we even use them for pleasure. They are becoming little extensions of our lives.

Therefore Rock Werchter collaborated with partners Proximus, Zanzibar and Appstrakt (aww yeah!) to develop a kick-ass (remember Bruce Lee?) cross-platform mobile application to support their amazing festival.

Supported platforms are iPhone, iPod Touch, Android, Blackberry, Windows Mobile and other devices that support JAVA applications. To give you some numbers: the application is available on 1.400 devices, with a staggering 80% current market coverage (source: getjar.com).

Some of the features of the application include: Facebook & Twitter integration, multiple ways to consult the line-up, detailed artist information, detailed interactive map of the festival ground. iPhone owners even have the ability to see their current location on the festivals map, thanks to the built-in GPS of their device.

For more information, you can consult our Pressdoc, or click here if you want to download and install the application on your mobile device.

Something BIG is coming up!

Mobile

It has been quiet around here lately. But hey, that doesn't mean we haven't been working our asses off! Fortunately we are practically done and therefore it is almost time to reveal our latest project. There isn't much more we can say ... yet.

But ... We'll give you this: "It's cross-platform and it will, just like Bruce Lee, KICK ASS!"
